Refund for discount after purchase

Hi, I recently paid upfront for a series of beauty treatments and 2 days later I received a discount offer email. I asked the salon (before the treatment started) to refund the difference as a gesture of good will. They are saying no as I already paid before the flash sale. Am I entitled to anything back? In retail, you can return an item and rebuy it if a discount comes out after the original purchase but is this the same for beauty treatment as it is a service not a product? Thanks!

Not entitled, it's subject to their terms and conditions. Discount offers are generally to encourage you to purchase another service1

Some retailers may allow this for purchases made in face to face transactions and you may have a right of return for goods purchased at a distance but even if this is the case, a retailer doesn't have to sell you another item if they don't wish to do so.0 -

No, you're not entitled to anything back, but there's never harm in asking.1
