Cex haven’t paid me

Hi I need some help. I sold a couple of items last week to CEX for £438 and they haven’t paid me. They claimed they tried a bank transfer last Wednesday and that there was an error with the bank. They tried again the next day and said the money should be in the bank now but it still isn’t. I’ve filled in the form on their website, sent Twitter, Instagram and Facebook messages which have all been ignored and there’s no phone number to actually speak to someone anymore so I’m lost and stressed. Can anyone offer me any help?

Send them a letter before action, sent by Royal Mail and ask for proof of posting (which is free). Give them 14 days to send you the money they owe you or you will commence a small claims process through court. There's a £50 initial fee to start the process which you can claim from CEX when you win - and you will win if you have evidence that they committed to pay you and haven't done so.0

If you sold the items instore then it might be better to go back to the store if you haven't received payment within a week.1
