Should I cancel the un-activated Credit Card?

I have 3 credit cards -
1 - with a 0% interest that I transferred some debt to, and I am paying just over the amount required every month. I will move it to another 0% when the offer runs out, if I haven't paid it all off at the end.
2 - an Amex card which I use for things I can pay off in the month (like groceries, etc) - which I use to accumulate Airmiles.
3 - an HSBC card that I haven't activated because when it arrived, the interest rate was higher than the initial offer - but is still showing on my online banking account with HSBC.
I don't know if the HSBC card is affecting my credit limit positively or negatively, or not at all, and if I should cancel it. Is the fact that it is showing as 'not activated' counting against me or for me? All I have to do I click on activate and then the credit limit is open to me, so I don't know if this has a bearing or not? Can anyone advise, please?

Make sure you activate and use it, so it doesn't get closed. You only have three cards, so you'll want to keep it open, especially as your main card is Amex which isn't accepted everywhere.1

As ebe_scrooge says try to get it cleared before the promotion runs out or try and put a bigger dent in the balance to make your chances of a further transfer better.
Definitely sensing criteria being tightened due to current climate0
