Can a Will be part typed and part hand written

I've looked on the net and can't find the info for this.
I'm aware of the signatures required.
I want to add a couple of lines before getting it signed tomorrow
The printer has stopped working so I'm happy to add a bit
NB: The will is 50/50% between our 2 children. One of them is married and we want to ensure the wife does not get the share should our child
cease to exist around the same time we do and in that scenario we'd want the money, the 50% to go to our grandchild who is a toddle at,
Best, simple plain english wording please. I will not hold you to anything my choice if I use the wording
Thanks

The printer has stopped working so I'm happy to add a bitWhat's the rush to get it signed tomorrow? Wait to get it printed properly. Are you making this clause just for the one child - what if the other one is also married by the time you die?A solicitor will help to future-proof the will so that a range of circumstances are covered.I have had several offers on FB this week for a 'free' will from charities - if a solicitor's costs are too much for you, that's another option.1 -

"In the event of xxxx predeceasing me I direct that xxxx's share shall pass to yyyy and any other children alive at the time of my death in equal parts and that aaaa and bbbb shall be executors of the Trust to be set up for their benefit"Never pay on an estimated bill. You seriously want to word your will on the basis of advice from random strangers on the internet?.
There is no requirement to have any part of a will typed, it can be entirely handwritten if legible, but it would have to be done in such a way that no-one could contest it on the basis that the handwritten clause had been added after signature and witness, which would not be easy. Just send it to someone to print for you or go out and buy a cheap inkjet if you are too tight to do it properly. No free lunch, and no free laptop2 -
Hi, the info in the following link is helpful - well, it has been to me, anyway.

Basically the answer you are looking for is YES. As long as it is signed, dated and witnessed correctly.

Thanks all - I will type it up and get it printed again.
To be clear, should the parent of our grandchild passaway before we've had a chance to revise the will, we want the 50% share to go to the grandchild annd atm the grandchild is 3 years old.Robin9 said:"In the event of xxxx predeceasing me I direct that xxxx's share shall pass to yyyy and any other children alive at the time of my death in equal parts and that aaaa and bbbb shall be executors of the Trust to be set up for their benefit"
so how would I word that sorry for being thick0 -
Btw, can the executors of the will be one or more of the beneficiaries of the will?
