Wallpaper disaster

I've ordered a wall mural for a kids room which is made up of 5 drops of wallpaper which forms one big picture on the wall.

I've put the first drop up, and on applying the second I can see there's a 20mm over lap, which makes it very hard to line up, never mind attempt to cut the overlap off when it comes to it.

I've taken both drops back off the wall hoping they'll be OK to dry and I can get a professional in to hang them for me.

As the 2 drops have paste on, will these damage as the paste dries, or cause any issues when it comes to reapplying? They're hanging safely off the wall without the pasted side touching anything.

I've managed to avoid wallpapering for many years, but I would think it will be very difficult to re-glue and apply the drops that by then will have dried paste on them. I'd remove as much paste as possible from the drops you have taken down.

I'd let it dry and then brush as much off as you can.
A dry washing up sponge should be gentle enough.
It should then be fine, when a paper hanger gets to it it will mix with the new paste.

Are you supposed to cut off the overhang? Sounds to me like they've made it so that it will join easily/firmly being a picture and not just a colour for the wall.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
