Book recommendation for learning about investing

Can anyone recommend a book to help my 18 year old learn about investing. He has shown an interest that I would like to encourage but although I have picked up a lot of great tips from this site I’m not confident in being able to start from scratch - eg what does buying a fund or bond actually mean. I also want him to develop his own views of risk etc without it being filtered through my own views.
it would need to be a fairly engaging, easy to follow book though, he won’t plough through a manual.
Thanks

Notepad phil...You are indeed correct thanks for expanding on the point .
Its important to know a great difference exists when buying books which is my point although blunt as it was .
Research is a great tool especially at a young age .

When you find a suitable book then show the kid that with the research principle its alot less....on Ebay than amazon and even less if your lucky locally elsewhere .
