Money transfer from Spain to UK

I sold a property in Spain and need to transfer the proceeds to my UK account. As there is a daily limit on how much I can transfer, I transferred £20,000 but was charged a bank fee of 185€. At this rate, I would be paying about 925€ in the remaining money. What is the cheapest way to transfer from a EU country to the UK?

I have used Wise.com and Currencies Direct. Wise.com are slightly cheaper but they lost me 10,000 euros and they can't be bothered to locate it, still missing after two weeks- so I'd use Currencies Direct.0
