A problem with my mobile phone
When I receive a call on my phone I cannot hear what the person that is talking to me is saying his voice is garbled or broken up . And sometime the call goes to my voicemail messages even when my phone is switched on and I then cannot listen to my voicemail messages as there is a problem there also
What is the problem and how do I fix it ? is it my phone or the Sim card ?
Thank you

Sounds like lousy mobile service. Does your phone indicate a usable signal? New provider? New phone? New location?
Can you try your sim in another phone?1 -
It is a Lycamobile sim

Almost certainly poor signal. Lycamobile piggy-backs onto o2, so you'll probably find any other provider on that network (Major players: Giffgaff, Tesco Mobile, Sky Mobile. Smaller firm: Lyca Mobile) and o2 themselves will have the same problem.Beg/borrow/steal* another phone. Put your sim in there. If the problem continues its not with the phone. There is nothing that can go wrong with a SIM, usually either they work or they don't, there is no inbetween.*please don't do this

Sounds like the speaker unit in your mobile is faulty. No free lunch, and no free laptop

No it doesn't, especially if the call gets picked up by voicemail. It's more than likely to be a poor or unreliable mobile signal as others have already said.macman said:Sounds like the speaker unit in your mobile is faulty.
Has the OP tried using it somewhere else where they know there's a good mobile signal or alternatively tried a sim from another provider to check that the phone is functioning correctly. Ask a mate who's on a differnet network to try their sim out
IMO it's better to try the simple obvious stuff rather than immediately thinking that the phone is faulty -it's a bit like changing the engine in your car when you've only run out of fuel.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
