Need help with shortish term investment.

I am due to inherit just under £200,000 very soon and want to put it somewhere safe that will earn the best interest. I already have the full amount of Premium Bonds. I plan to buy a new property in the next 6 to 12 months so will need access to it but can be with a degree of notice.
