Replacing cooker door microswitch

I have an old Jackson by creda cooker and the door microswitch has broken which switches between grill/oven. I bought a replacement part but I can’t seem to get the side panel off to access it. It is loose at the rear but seems stuck at the front which is of course where the switch is. Any ideas?
