Taking PayPal to the Small Claims Court

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to take PayPal to the small claims court please? I suspect I need to establish a U K address for them. I want to recover £20 which they charged to my linked c/c, even though I had a £23.40 credit balance in my P P account. Within 5 minutes of the transaction going through, they froze my account or, as they call it, 'restricted my account', requesting that I send them a copy of my passport and bank statement
They have made totally false claims saying that Lloyds declined to transfer £20 to them, stating there was insufficient money in my current account. In fact there was around £1,000 in the account. To cap it all PayPal then said they had seen suspicious activity on my credit card.
I have in writing from Lloyds 1) they have not declined to make any transfer to P P, 2) they received no request to transfer £20 and 3) there was sufficient money in my account. Lloyds also tell me that P P could not have seen any activity on my credit card account; suspicious or otherwise - apart from anything that they initiated through my card being linked to my PayPal account.
Communicating with them is hopeless, both by email and telephone. The computer says 'NO'.
I have had a PayPal account for around 15 years - probably never more than £40, never a frequent user and have never caused them a problem. Please don't suggest I contact the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Any advice gratefully received.

have you sent them the documents they asked for ?
any small claims court judge is not going to look kindly on you if you haven't, as they won't be particularly disposed towards you anyway for taking up the court's time for £20.1 -

Your complaint is entirely about saving face because someone has the audacity to claim that you're not "good for it."
You need to move on, most of us have to deal with it every now and again and we just say "that's life."
There is nothing to claim here, you couldn't even sue them for libel as it was a private communication between you and PayPal.0
