Utility Point credit refund
Has anyone managed to get a credit refund? We moved house away from Utility Point in September last year prior to their collapse. I’ve been in contact with Utility Point In Administration multiple times as our final bill was wrong. It is now correct but I need my £800 credit back and Ofgem won’t let me complain as Utility Point don’t exist anymore and my MP just said that EDF are processing refunds so I just need to wait.

Have you rang EDF as it’s possible a cheque has been sent to the supply address rather than your new one?bakerfa said:Has anyone managed to get a credit refund? I’m in the same boat except I didn’t move before the collapse. Last statement from UP said I was £700 in credit. I have contacted EDF who say they are waiting for a final bill from UP. It has been nearly a year. I could really do with the credit being applied to EDF account as soon as possible0

I have an outstanding balance that I'm waiting for EDF to refund. I recieved my final UP bill months ago, maybe in May but still nothing on refund and calling EDF is pointless. Is there nothing more we can do?

I was with UP when they went bust but shortly after transferred to BG Evolve for a fixed rate rather let the SoLR EDF put me on their SVR
Even so UP + EDF still (eventually) managed to produce a correct final bill which was a combination of UP & EDF charges up to the date I transferred to BG Evolve
I received a cheque for the final credit balance from EDF in March 2022
Thats how its supposed to work - the first step is to get a correct final bill & then for EDF to send you a cheque
If you have a final bill then its just a case of chasing EDF for a cheque - if you have not got a final bill yet then thats much more of a problem as I suspect the people who are responsible for producing them don't even exist anymore
Any complaint to the ombdusman will be against EDF1 -
That's so interesting that you say you had your refund in march. I believe I was the one who pointed you to the BG evolve deal back in September. I am inexactly the same position as you but I never received a refund for my balance even though I got my bill in February.Inigo_Montoya said:I was with UP when they went bust but shortly after transferred to BG Evolve for a fixed rate rather let the SoLR EDF put me on their SVR
