In Credit with Bulb? Help!
Options
I’m just wondering if I can get some help with where to go from here.
I moved in to my new house last September and started as a new customer with Bulb. They sent me a statement and made my bill £70 per month as we’re in a tiny new build, we’ve fortunately hardly had to use the heating.
I have the app and kept track of my bills but they haven’t sent me a statement since October and I’m £700 in credit, but bills haven’t been prompted to be adjusted either.
As comfortable a payment as this is, I feel I’m setting myself up for being in debt down the line. But if I’m submitting meter readings and they’re not messaging, how do I play this? What would you do?

Not clear how you can be in credit by £700 if you pay 70£ for a maximum of 9 payments (September to May).
As you have not received a bill have you contacted Bulb and asked for one, or is there maybe a bill in your online account? Did you give them regular meter readings, as a minimum for starting your contract, on the 30st of September and 31st of March when there where price increases, Otherwise hopefully you have a working smart meter.
Can you give us the opening reading and todays reading so we can give you an idea if the £70 was sufficient?0 -
It’s over £700 as they initially billed us over £90 when we first moved that got adjusted to £70, so that was our payment after what we were quoted and had referral credits.
We have a smart meter and still give readings, with our specifically on 31st March.
It’s not that I think £70 is what I should be paying, but if they’re not promoting me to pay more, I’m asking has this happened to others0 -
As I wrote, if you give us the information we will be able to tell you what you should be paying.
You also did not answer the question if you contacted Bulb regarding a bill.0 -
I think you will have to make sure you do your own calculations.
You say a new build so you can easily check your kWh usage from moving in
What is your usage as of today on your meter in kWh?
