I have a Cifas Marker but still have bank accounts open.

Back in December 2019, I have been a victim of identity theft, it happened when I lost my wallet at the airport in December 2019 in which a third party was able to access my N26 bank account (with the information such as ID, and the n26 bank card) later on in 2020 the same third party (I’m assuming) has used this information to perform insurance fraud, luckily since I am a young driver I had a black box in my car which proved my innocence, I have evidence regarding all of this from my flight tickets to the investigation performed by my insurer that proved my innocence.
I remember vividly to log in to N26 you needed your card details, which they had, and could have easily requested gained access as they had my address, name, and dob. Again I did not think to report it lost or stolen as I had little to no money in that account, I was going to transfer once I landed abroad as they offered good rates abroad.
Anyways, I'm reading all these horrible stories on how people can't get bank accounts and any sort of credit with Cifas markers.
I have a misuse of facility marker from Cifas, logged in May 2020 which I don't think is fair at all as I didn't open the account to purposefully commit fraud, what doesn't help is that I opened the account in September 2019, and all this happened in December/January so I see why they see it that way.
I didn't know the Cifas marker existed until about last year, I contacted N26 and tried to dispute it and they said that received reports from other banks about a marketplace scam where someone sold designer clothes but in the end, the buyer never got the clothes. I know I have until May 2026 for it to eventually disappear.
I have complained to N26, took it further to Cifas, and now I took it to the ombudsman, which 8 months later my complaint is still waiting on their waitlist.
I know I should be thankful, which I am, all my bank accounts are all intact, I have even switched bank accounts using the current account switch guarantee service, and nothing was done to my new bank account either, this was in September 2021.
One thing I am confused about is why are they letting me have these accounts open?
And if the ombudsman decides that N26 is in the right on keeping the marker, what next steps can I take to dispute it further?
I haven't really been applying for much credit as I have everything I need at the moment, I have been pre-approved for credit cards, which later on got rejected, one credit card by my bank, and one by capital one. I have also tried opening a savings account with the same bank I am with now, which was open at first, but a couple of days later, got a text saying due to further checks they are closing this new account. Again, confused on why they closed this one but not my current account.
I am thinking of getting a new car soon, PCP finance, will this marker likely ruin my chances of getting this car or are these checks not really relevant as I essentially don't own the car on PCP. My credit score is absolutely perfect, I have no missed payments, I have been reporting my rent to CRA's etc.
Thanks for your time.

I sympathise with your situation but you will find it almost impossible to get more credit, especially for PCP whilst you have the CIFAS marker.
