Screen broke on Apple Macbook Air after 2 weeks and Apple couldn't care less!

    I accidently leaned on the top of my Macbook Air.

    Next time I opened it up the screen  had a black are which increased until it covered the whole screen

    There was no damage or crack on the outer screen. 

    Online support said it looked like the inner screen was damaged and the Apple shop also said this.

    So, if it is the inner screen that is damaged there need not be any damage visible or felt on the outer screen.
