  • Hello - having a similar issue. Bad installation by AO with missing part caused leak and water damage which AO are refusing to pay for despite evidence and two independent statements from plumbers saying that could only be the cause of the damage Wondering how you got on with the SSC or other route?
  • Ask them in writing to pay for the damages quoted and if if they going to refuse this to put this in writing.

Advise them you are legally entitled to damages under consumer protection act of 1987, and they have been negligent.

Ask them if this is their final response letter and to advise their alternative dispute resolution service.

send them a letter before action, templates are online and then send into small claims -

I have seen some people online use resolver too no idea if that would work. I am dealing with them now and I wouldn't expect them to roll over and cough up so it may take a little work but don't let it go

The CPA holds the manufacturer liable not the retailer and its for products

The person you are replying to is dealing with the retailer not the manufacturer and complaining about a service not a product

Not sure whether you are replying to the OP or the one by Hackneymama, but neither have been active on these forums since last year so would assume their problems have been sorted out by now.
