Lost passport code not arrived ?

My son has lost his passport and travels in 6 weeks to cypress.
On Tuesday He went online and followed instructions to report lost passport and filled out the form. On completion he was advised he would receive a code via email and i assume the code is then used to apply for a replacement passport. The code hasnt arrived and we cannot get in touch with anyone for the company that send the code who are called "teleperformance" He has since had 2 calls from a number in slough that goes dead on answering. so we are now stuck waiting for a code which might never come. anyone had a similar experience. Im wondering if he should do the lost passport form again or just wait a couple of days then try phonong passport office?

As far as I am aware you don’t need the code to get a replacement passport . However with an average application taking 10 weeks currently - he should probably try to book a 1 week fast track appointment if he needs to travel in 6 weeks . You have to check the website everyday for slots.1

He doesn't need the code - all he has to say on the form that he has already reported it lost and the lost record will be associated with his application. The reason he doesn't have the code is because it hasn't been completed. `He will be called to confirm details. Calls from HMPO are from a withheld number.1

Day 3 of trying for an appointment and hitting a brick wall. Not looking good.0

You will just have to keep trying online. New appointments are put on every day depending on the capacity in each office, but they usually go quickly.0

We have 4 of us checking all day and none of us have seen any new appointments just a message saying no appointments left. I think he's going to struggle now. 😕0

Not sure when the slots get uploaded - but have you tried checking the website between midnight and early hours of the morning?0

No we haven't but if I remember when I get up to visit the loo about 3 times I'll have a look.
I actually got to click through to appointments this afternoon but it crashed straight away.0 -

Well good news....just got on and managed to get an appointment in Liverpool for 14th June.
What a pain though and if I didn't have the time to sit clicking it constantly we'd never have got through.
