Hello

i bought a Slendertone from their UK site under their 60 day money back guarantee.  Their returns are in the Netherlands.  I posted by Royal Mail, it cost £18.  I put the value as £190 as that is what I paid and I wanted to ensure I am covered should it get lost in transit.

They have refused to take the parcel in as a £59 customs charge has been applied.  They can claim it back but apparently they are unable to pay the fees at their warehouse.  They said I should have put the value as £10 but then I don’t think I would be covered for loss.

The parcel is being returned to me.  Are they right to put a value lower than what I paid for the customs form?

Any suggestions on what I can do to return the item?

    How did you pay?

As this is a non UK purchase then UK consumer rights don't apply.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I paid with my UK card on their UK site.  It’s not obvious when you purchase that it’s not a UK purchase:  https://gb.slendertone.com

It says Contracts for the purchase of Products through our site will be governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising from, or related to, such Contracts shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.

Yet the return is to the Netherlands

It’s such a nightmare that the returns are in the Netherlands not even Ireland

I know this has been going on for a couple of weeks now, but have you actually contacted Slendertone customer services in Ireland (or wherever they are) and asked them what their arrangements are (now that the UK has left the EU) for items being returned from the UK to the Netherlands under their 60 day money back guarantee?

You can't be the first UK customer to be trying to do this.
