I have posted before but now have been given my comparison with current deal Vs new variable deal

Electricity
Fix Again 1 Year v8

Fixed term ends 29/05/2022

18.55 p/kWh 10.50 p/day
(All rates inc. VAT)

Electricity
Next Flex

Starting on 29/05/2022

27.63 p/kWh 44.75 p/day
(All rates inc. VAT)

Gas
Fix Again 1 Year v8

Fixed term ends 29/05/2022

3.69 p/kWh 10.50 p/day
(All rates inc. VAT)

Gas
Next Flex

Starting on 29/05/2022

7.28 p/kWh 27.22 p/day
(All rates inc. VAT)

Does the advice still stand that new variable deal is best for me?

Are there any fixed deals available anywhere that are cheaper than variable deal?

No there aren't any fixed deals lower than variable at the moment.

Basically do nothing and you will roll on to Next Flex. I recommend that you pre-empt E.ON's suggestion for new monthly DD by calculating it yourself. Last 12 months energy usage at Next Flex rates. Add/subtract any debit/credit balance after most recent bill deducted from account, divide by 12 and update your DD. It will be a big increase but you stay in control.
