Does the advice still stand that new variable deal is best for me?
Are there any fixed deals available anywhere that are cheaper than variable deal?

Basically do nothing and you will roll on to Next Flex. I recommend that you pre-empt E.ON's suggestion for new monthly DD by calculating it yourself. Last 12 months energy usage at Next Flex rates. Add/subtract any debit/credit balance after most recent bill deducted from account, divide by 12 and update your DD. It will be a big increase but you stay in control.0
