New build address affecting car insurance change

Hi.
I've moved into a new build property, where the address is registered on the Royal Mail postcode finder. On contacting my car insurance company, they advised that as they've not updated their database and don't know when they will, I will have to cancel my policy and insure with another company. On searching for new quotes, I'm having the same issue with other providers. Therefore, I'm currently insured but I won't be covered in the event of an accident so does anyone have any advice on how I can resolve this, please?

I'd try a local broker, who may be aware of the problem.2 -
Thanks. Yes, I get that hence my posing of the question.
I'll try one.0 -
Most large players are going to be updating their PAC files at least monthly I'd have thought and unless you are the first person to move into the development then its likely the postcode was registered at least some time before you moved in. Have you spoken to neighbours about how they have dealt with it?
I've moved to a few new builds and its never been an issue for us.1 -
Thanks all. After spending two days searching Admiral had my new address info. and all sorted. Not the biggest issue in the world, but an issue that shouldn't be one.
Thanks again.2 -
Glad you are sorted but an odd event as I had this issue with a new address not appearing on their system several years ago and they processed it manually without any issues.0
