Another idea may be to fit a single MCB in that circuit just after the fusebox. I'm assuming you can't get an mcb to replace that fuse holder.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0

we had this problem with GU10s blowing all the time and tripping everything so switch to the dimmable energy saving ones that last so much longer. My husband found them here http://www.ebulbshop.com/acatalog/GU10_SMOOTH_DIMMABLE_ENERGY_SAVING_LIGHT_BULBS.html
They are quite nice and we were advised by ebulbshop not to go for LED as they are not bright enough.
Hope that is useful.

Suspect, Leane, it's the fact they are energy saving (long life) rather than dimmable that makes them blow less and 'softer' - thereby not taking out the fuse? But these (that's why they're brighter) are the Megaman technology I referred to earlier. So they are wider / longer than a standard GU10 - and, whilst OK for most open downlighters, won't fit most GU10 fittings that carry the bulb in a 'shade'.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
