Nationwide switch

I have looked at the terms but cannot find anything.
Does anyone know how soon after benefitting from the recent Nationwide £125 switch offer you can close the account/switch again please?
I’m finding the online payments with Nationwide a bit of a pain having to verify with the card holder almost every time.
I was thinking of trying to take advantage of the new Lloyds switch.

You need to confirm online purchases with ALL cards now. So that excuse won’t wash - but you don’t need an excuse or a justification to switch. You just switch. Unless there is a specific clause in the switch offer terms, you can switch again anytime you like without losing the switch bonus you have been paid.0

Not an excuse, I don’t have to do it with any HSBC card payments or transfers.0

That’s odd. My main account is HSBC. I don’t have a card reader, unlike Nationwide, and have no issues making payments/transfers when I’m out.marcia_ said:

Since June 2021, HSBC have also required an additional layer of security for online purchases. It's a legal requirement all UK banks have to comply with. https://www.hsbc.co.uk/help/card-support/confirming-online-card-purchases/Skylon said:

As you now mention transfers, perhaps you mean making Online Faster Payments rather than online purchases with your debit card? I know that Nationwide still require card reader confirmation from time to time for those, even if you make online payments to existing payees. I believe you can avoid these checks if you use their app.
You also mention "when I'm out" - - are you saying you are asked to use the card reader for purchases in shops?
Anyway, back to your original switch question - as I said earlier, unless there is a clause in the switch offer you used which requires you to keep the account for a given length of time, you can switch whenever you like.0 -
Apologies for bumping the old thread - but felt it was worth keeping another query about this offer in the same place.
The T&Cs of the current £100/£125 Nationwide switch offer are dated April 2022. I previously benefited from a switch offer with Nationwide in September 2021. Is the current offer the same offer as that one, as defined by clause 4 of the T&Cs? Has anyone benefited from completing switched last year, and then again this year?0 -
Yes, i am on my third £125 since i received the offer in September 2021, so three in total, all sole accounts 1 x Flexdirect & 2 Flexaccounts.2

I didn't have any luck switching a second account into an existing Nationwide account that had already benefited from the switch offer, but I recently opened a new FlexAccount and switched into that one instead. It took a little longer than the first incentive, but they eventually paid out for a second time.3

Was the first account still open at the time you opened and switched into the second?PRAISETHESUN said:I didn't have any luck switching a second account into an existing Nationwide account that had already benefited from the switch offer, but I recently opened a new FlexAccount and switched into that one instead.
