Euro Car Parks - do I have an appeal case?

I took my four-week-old daughter to Forest Primary Care Centre for a hearing check. I didn't realise that I needed to input my vehicle registration in a kiosk inside the building (which I did not see).
Parking is free for two hours for patients and I have evidence of the appointment. I would argue that being a patient is the pre-requisite for being able to park there, rather than the technicality of using the kiosk (which frankly by contrast to my appointment booking does not provide evidence of being a patient).
Does anyone think I have a case or am I wasting my time? I'd rather just pay it than get wound up with a rejection.

Always worth asking, if the worse case outcome is that you just get a 'Sorry but no' response.
These systems are becoming quite commonplace in pubs these days, and it's quite normal for customers to forget to enter the car reg and then get the ticket in the post a few days later. IME plenty of people have got off with it after asking nicely to have it overturned. Personally I'd follow it up. There's nothing to lose, unless a twang of disappointment is worth more to you than the amount of the fine.0 -
Thanks @Username03725. I was concerned about having to pay the full fine rather than the reduced one, but in reading the letter in more detail, it looks as though this will only happen if I lose the appeal and then lose a POPLA one too.0

It's not a fine, the reduced amount is a bribe to pay the fake invoice without querying it.
The Care Centre should be able to get it cancelled if you contact them, though you may need to complain to the practice manager first. If there's a requirement to record your registration details they should have made it clearer to you.

You need to post on the private parking forum if its a private parking ticket where the countrys leading experts are .
By all means approach the care centre but you sound like you are not aware of the reality of these .
Most people are not

Yes, get yourself in to the Parking Tickets Subform and start by having a good read of the Newbies Sticky at the top of the board, which will properly inform you about these predators - then it lays-out the proven strategies for challenging their tickets.
However as you had an appointment/reason to be there, the NHS Parking Principles apply and you should also consider a firm complaint to PALS at the centre/Local health authority. They have the authority to cancel this ticket forthwith and you should complain to them before engaging with ECP's "appeal" process or going to POPLA.0
