Halifax failed pending transaction

I tried to pay for goods using klarna on Sunday but apparently the payment failed. Klarna told me they've not collected the payment but its still showing as pending on my Halifax account. Apparently its up to Halifax to release the pending money, apparently they keep it pending to allow merchant to take money but klarna have already said they're not taking the money. So how long will I have to wait before Halifax realises the money isn't going to be taken and the transaction will stop showing as pending and will return to my account? I want to try and attempt the payment again but I can't as it looks like I don't have the funds (it was a big payment I tried) even though I do have the funds if they weren't pending!

Just had it via Amazon, They ask for the money and a hold is put on it.
    Not a problem.
Amazon then shipped the item and recharged me. They should have call for the original charge.
So they took £100 on day of dispatch and had a hold of £100 as well.
    I was not happy.
It took 5 calls to Amazon and 4 to the bank to sort it.
I got a £25 good will gesture from both.
The same issue happens with petrol pumps now.
They pre authorised £99, so if you spend £10 your £89 out until the sort it.

Just use a credit card (paid off in full every month) for your purchases if hold on money is an issue.

No it is up to klarna's merchant bank to withdraw the request.

What reason did Klana give for not taking the funds?

Pending payments can sit there for 10 working days or 14 days (which is the same) just depends on how people like it wording 🤣

Thats what I would do on a dat to day basis.
    This was a one off.
Always use a credit card at petrol pump now.
    Just in case.

They just said that they did not receive the order so have not taken the funds. I've been told by my bank 7 days (not working), klarna told me 7 working days, this isn't fair for people who need the money and can't afford to have £268 missing from their bank
