fixed tariff or variable
I am due to come to the end of my fixed tariff at the end of May with EDF ,should i go to the new fixed tariff for 2 years or should i go standard variable? At present i pay £80 a month for dual fuel but the way things are going i thinking of going for another fixed tariff. What are your thoughts?Today i hear that they are thinking of having four price caps a year and thoughts on this?

If the £80/month actually covers your usage to the nearest pound over a full year, you will find that EDF's estimates of your DD on any of the tariffs offered in your online "My Account" will be pretty accurate if you have been with them for a while.
The only fix being offered to me at this time is until May 2024 and my crystal ball does not see that far ahead, that fix is 23% above the SV rates based on my annual usage.
EDF's fixes have actually come down a bit over the last month.
You have to make your own mind up depending on your personal circumstances and aversion to risk.
