It has come to our attention that Unique Funeral Plans makes various statements on its website about Sterling Trust Corporation Limited receiving customer funds from Unique and managing these funds on Unique's behalf. These statements have been carried and reprinted in other media, including other websites.
Sterling Trust Corporation Limited has not been appointed by Unique Funeral Plans (or any company affiliated with Unique) to act as a Trustee and as such these statements are not true. Prosperous Life warning
Last year I took out a plan with this company. They did not pass the FCA test and whilst they are in the process of using another FCA companty to transfer their customers too, I was unhappy with their failure.
I cancelled my plan (taken out in 9.2021) and requested a refund. To my astonishment and utter disgust I have been informed their cancellation fee is 595pounds! How can it be this high?
I was visited by one of their reps last year and this aspect of the plan was never discussed. However it is in their terms and conditions.
I feel really ripped off and could certainly do with some of the monies I paid in.
Any advice>0 -

I'd suggest you start your own thread as your question has nothing to do with the title of this thread. However, if you want to avoid paying the cancellation fee surely the easiest option is to allow the transfer to a new company to take place?
