Hi all, just received a ticket for being on broken double yellows, obscured with thrown out furniture. Other 3 cars next to me didn't receive one. Concierge in my student accommodation have been telling me to park there for the best part of 12 months and I have, with no previous tickets. Help please!

If it is a council ticket, pop yourself over to a site called Pepipoo.com as they are the council experts.2

Just found this online, anyone know if its correct?
All single and double yellow lines have to be continuous, unbroken and must end in a 'T-bar'. If there are breaks in the line, or the line does not end in a T-bar (except where the line is broken with other road markings), this can invalidate any ticket given anywhere on the line.

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I have experience of appealing successfully to Salford Council. I think they may be quite fair. I am an NHS worker & parked in a section of car park I mistakenly thought was free for NHS during Covid. I included a supporting letter from my Manager confirming my NHS status. I was v apologetic.
Perhaps ask the concierge (or their Manager) to write a brief email/letter verifying your explanation & send with your appeal. Get appeal in on time.
I'm not one of this forum's experts btw, just another victim! Def check PePiPoo for further advice. Good luck.3 -
