Peer to peer car share (small local)

I am interested to know information about small peer to peer car sharing schemes, in any part of the UK.

I am hoping to find a group of people who are interested to do this... but wondered how people go about setting up such a scheme?

(I'm not thinking about companies that set up schemes, but communities). I live in a rural area, and I understand that care share schemes are more common in urban areas.

I think most people would want to go through a company to take care of all the hassle/risk.

You might find someone locally who may loan you a car, but is it worth it for anyone?
A local garage you're on good terms with *may* be able to sort you out with something on a short term basis.

Insuring a car you do not own short term is expensive. Probably cheaper to get a taxi. Who covers the cost whilst its parked and
    not in use?

What if someone wants the car for a week or two away?  What if someone hangs onto it longer than they booked it for?
Far too many what if's and potential risks.

The local Climate Action Group in my town have partnered with a business/group to provide a platform for car shares and also hireable EVs. The business/group is Karshare UK I believe.
