Thanks for all your help over the last week or so with my Witness Statement. It is now complete and submitted to the court. Will go to the Claimant on Tuesday morning. Court date is 22nd February. So will do some further prep before then. And presumably I should expect something from the Claimant by 4pm tomorrow?0

You and the claimant have the same filing dates for the WS etc. Give yourself time to send yours by the deadline in case of internet or other unexpected issues.
Check with the court/complain if you haven't received their WS by the deadline. Show us theirs as soon as you can. Redact all personal info but leave in anything already in the public domain such as the name of the paralegal etc.
Tell us if anything has been redacted, and by whom.
Which court (PM me if you like). I would turn up to give support if I can, although I am currently reliant on a powered wheelchair and can't travel very far. I live under the flightpath.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks4 -
Morning @Fruitcake
Will do. Am relying on email, but can drop the paperwork off at Bath Court today before the deadline, if they had trouble receiving it.
That's a kind gesture of support to attend, let's see how they respond.
On a separate note, one thing that I had not computed during this process, is that airports have a legitimate security interest in 'no stopping' zones. I had thought of it only as a money grabbing exercise to get people to pay to drop people off. This came to light when I was reading the February 2022 Parking Code of Practice.
And, interestingly, in a specific Annex where no stopping zones and exceptions regarding them are referred to in the code. It talks about private roads in airports and says "Parking operators must not pursue parking charges in a no-stopping zone where the stop was: e) in recognition of the use of a zebra crossing by pedestrians".
I squeezed that into my WS, obviously.
I know the Code is currently temporarily withdrawn for a review on charges, but it still makes it clear what is expected of operators.

Sadly Bath is too far for me in my current physical state.
Good spot about the zebra crossings. You must emphasise that you had no control over what an occupant of the car did whilst stopped, and once the door was open it would have been unsafe to proceed. You should also ask the claimant's rep (you may have to ask the judge to ask this) why the VCS operative did not immediately shout a warning to the passenger or indeed pursue them rather than send a PCN to the keeper weeks later.I married my cousin. That's an interesting point. I saw it mentioned elsewhere, but wasn't sure how to integrate it, or what difference it makes. As you say, I can still ask it at the hearing.1 -
So, it is 4:30pm on deadline day for documents to be delivered to the court and to each party. The deadline was 4:00pm.
I have had email and verbal confirmations from both the court and the claimant that my documents have been received.
I have had nothing from the Claimant.
I have written to the court to ask if they've received any. I will report back.
Presumably if they have sent nothing, they can use nothing but the claim form in court?

Correct. But they'll probably have posted it to you and it will arrive late.
You can tell the Judge this at the start and object to their evidence on that basis.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Three full days have passed since Tuesday's deadline, and still no pack of documents from the Claimant.0
