Credit Card double charged

The OP had a statement produced with the double charge on it before the credit was applied, that will then demand the full payment on statement day even if they have subsequently had a credit that will put them in positive if the full payment is taken. Credits / refunds do not count towards payment so unless OP pays in full, they will be charged interest on the full balance even if they pay only the single payment and leave the second payment off.planteria said:my initial thought is that if the credit has been applied after the statement date then surely that is already a partial payment, thereby reducing your bill exactly as you would like, and as you are entitled?

having re-read above, if the credit has been applied then your debt has been reduced. i can't see a scenario in which you are out of pocket as a result of this, but perhaps i am missing something?0 -
According to my Lloyds T&Cs if paying by direct debit they should not put the account in credit so will reduce the DD if necessary.
Refunds, cashback and credit adjustments to your account between the statement date and your payment due date will reduce your overall balance. But they will only count towards your minimum payment for that month (excluding arrears and any amount you owe above the credit limit) if they reduce the balance to less than that minimum payment amount. If this happens, and you have not yet paid your minimum payment, we will reduce the minimum payment needed so that it equals any full remaining balance.
