PCN - Keying error

Hi

Please assist me with some advice on a PCN I received from council.

I received a PCN from Royal borough of Greenwich on 13/02/2022 and on 15/02/2022, I immediately made an appeal. I have 2 cars registered on m mobile app and I had selected the wrong car when making the payment. I shared with them the receipt of payment that I had made to show them that it was a genuine mistake from my part.

I have received the response back from the council 13/05/2022 with the letter dated 11/05/2022 that my appeal has been rejected and that I need to make a payment in 14 days. 

I believe they should have considered it as a genuine mistake and I would like to continue further with the appeal. Also they did not send verification code or Notice of Appeal form with the letter that I can use in making an appeal to the independent adjudicator.

Also the fact they have taken so long to respond, does that not invalidate the PCN?

Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.
