Buying over the phone with credit card

I haven’t done this for so long as it’s so easy to buy online now - and am wondering if I should now give my card details over the phone to buy something. I tried online and it was declined. I was not asked to OK the transaction as is the norm now so something may be wrong with their website.

Am I covered to buy the item over the phone or is this a no go now?

I buy over the phone, just make sure the retailer is legit.

I wouldnt buy over the phone from a cold caller.

Yes you are covered over the phone the same way as an online sale but the price would have to be over £100 per item for S75.

A chargeback for anything under £100.
