Laminate Door Repair

Hello all

So I got quote from a company that does Internal door repairs and they told me depending on how much damage there is and time taken it will cost between £300 to £800 to repair and it will be visible that the door has been repaired.
The price seems VERY high as looking online new Laminate Doors cost between £150 to £300.
Anyone else think his quote is accurate and the actual door cost would be much higher?
For some context its a bathroom plain white door which has sharded internally (large bits of the surface are sticking out along the bottom).

Just buy a new door and get someone to fit it especially if the repair will still be visible.

If you replace the door, would you need to replace several, so they match?

I am surprised that anyone would attempt to repair a door like the one in the photo. It would cost an absolute fortune to do!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

On some new build sites with a lot of hardwood doors etc, what we call a magic man comes in at the end to take care of scratches and dents and I’m sure that they are £300 + per day which in context is cheaper than replacing.
What the op has been quoted is excessive for what would be a relatively quick job.
A new door including hanging would be a lot cheaper as long it’s a standard size door.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'

I only need to replace one but it needs to match the bedroom and living room door as they all matching at the moment.

Yeah the actual door is just plain white but its a full length door. The developer has given me the company that did the doors and flooring in the flats so hopefully they still have them and its not custom size so not very expensive.

If the door is white is there any reason why you couldn’t use some two pack filler and repaint the door?

I agree. As it’s the inside of the bathroom door that needs to be repaired, it doesn’t need to match exactly on that side.
