Hi all

So im due to fly from bulgaria to the uk home on Monday. We have a few levs left but I've been looking on the duty free shop online and couple things caught my eye.

So I have used my card in Bulgaria and used the Lev currancey which converted for me. So if I use it in the airport should it show levs or euros as the website is showing as euro.

Also which do I select on the machine thanks you

I have posted in the travel board too

You choose the local currency (ie whatever the product is priced in).
  • Bulgaria Lev operates a fixed rate against the Euro so it shouldn't really matter.

Just make sure it's at the standard rate of €1 = 1.95583 leva.

As long as you don't pay in pounds with the card you should be ok. Your card needs to make the conversion, not the merchant or their bank, in order to obtain the ideal Visa exchange rate.
Personally I would never normally purchase in anything other than a country's own national currency - have you checked downtown prices for the same items as comparison..?

    Evolution, not revolution

Well the shops here are very limited and alot of fake designer stuff and they don't sell what they do in the airport
