We sold privately and bought privately from friends in the road behind, so our buyer ended up as a neighbour, albeit only on the back lane. There were no problems, other than me wondering how my friend had ever gained a qualification in teaching design technology with some of the Heath Robinson arrangements we discovered! That was a long time ago now, but perhaps in areas like that, close to a major hospital, advertising within it and word of mouth via staff usually brought quick responses. We tried WoM again when we wanted to sell in late 2007and found buyers with a 'lie to buy' mortgage arranged with Northern Wreck, just before they folded. That didn't go so well!0 -
