I was wondering if anyone had received one of these letters and if you have, were you ever taken to court? What was the outcome. Just don’t want to be pressured into paying £170 if nothing is going to come out of it. 0

Yes we have seen loads of them. Standard rubbish.
Yes, it might end up in court, in which case you can actually defend it rather than talking to silly people who can only say "no" (because they want money, it is all that matters to them).
At court you would probably get the fake £70 removed. It is up to you, I would not like to pay scammers. Do remember that all this guff they give you about CCJs is disingenuous . Non of that can happen unless you actually lose at court AND do not then pay
If you supply more details ...which PPC, where, when, what are you supposed to have done etc , then the regulars will be able to give clearer adviceThe pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.1 -
Same pic as on loads of threads. No need to show us that laughable letter.
See post #4 of the NEWBIES thread.
Which PPC?
Are you in Scotland?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This was the only thing that really worried me was the risk of getting a ccj, so you would only incur a ccj if you not only lost at court but also then didn’t pay from losing?0
