Adding Spouse to Property Deeds

Hi, we are wishing to add spouse to Property Deeds
We have a rented property (mortgage free) which is in my wife's name, we would now like to add my name to the deed (joint tenant). We would want this to be treated as a gift.

Having researched this at length, I beilive we need forms TR1, ID1, AP1 - is this correct?.
Best quote from Solicitor or Conveyancer I have had is £900, this seems very high for what seems a simple activity of couple of forms
I was wandering if we actually need Solicitor and can this be done by us.
Looking for guidance on how to go about this by ourselves or contact details of reasonable price Conveyancer, in Surrey area
thanks
