completesave.co.uk - missis is in a state of shock

Five minutes research tells me this company is just about legit (I think) but they have very underhand ways of "recruiting".
My missis noticed a recurring payment on her current account of £15. She dug a bit deeper and saw it had been coming out every month for.... a long time. It goes to completesave.co.uk
She had a mini meltdown
Others have said that you could be on a banking website or some major firm and a pop up says, just fill this in to make future transactions easier OWTTE
Yes thank you in advance for your "she should have checked her account" comments but does anyone have experience of these dolts, in getting a refund, or cancelling your "membership"???? Fewwwwming

How are the payments being taken? Presumably a CPA on her debit card or a DD from her current account?
Ultimately she signed up to it and gave them her payment details and so its hard to have any form of "right" to a refund... you could obviously ask them nicely but you can probably guess their answer (though there are a few examples on here of companies that have been way more generous than they needed to be).
Outside of that its really about ensuring you've followed their cancellation process as outlined on their website and learning the lesson about checking your accounts regularly.0 -

look back through the statements & somewhere in the 30 days prior to the 1st payment will be a online purchase to one of the companies that they partner with.
Also check emails from them. They always send them out, but often drop into spam/junk folder. Which not everyone checks..
This company have been going for decades. Very good at refunding. Seen many people get £110's back from them.

Your bank can cancel the payments to them in future, just need to give them a call.
She'll have willingly signed up at some point, so the best thing to do with regards to a refund is drop them a polite but factual email - leave out the 'fewwwwwmin' and 'shock' factor, stick to non-emotive language and ask nicely.3 -
I got caught out, rang bank who said it's not a scam but many others have been caught out. I emailed these !!!!!! and told them to refund the one month they took money and to cancel any further payments. I also told them although they're not officially a scam their methods of signing up are bordering on fraudulant.
To give them due credit they did what I asked. You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

There are many companies which work in the same way. Free 30 day (or whatever) membership and then automatically charged monthly if you don't cancel. Always be suspicious if a free deal requires your card details.

I forgot to mention bank advised that if I didn't get any joy out of the con artists to open up a 'merchant dispute'.You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.
