easyJet refund second booking

This might be useful to others and, in any case, easyJet don’t often get financial pats on the back so it’s worth recognising their help.

Flying AMS-LGW last night, we arrived at Schipol two hours before departure time (no luggage to check) and found the queue for security was about a quarter of a mile, running into another terminal. Long story short, when it looked certain we would miss the flight we booked tickets for the next morning costing €260. By the time we finally got through security and passport control it was past the time the easyJet app said the (slightly delayed) flight would leave.

Went to the gate and boarding had not yet started. Phoned easyJet (not my first call of the evening to them, but as I said long story short) and the guy I spoke to consulted his manager and agreed to cancel the next morning’s tickets and provide a full refund. Well done guys!
