Hi,
Went around to ASDA earlier and gave the lady behind the counter my topup card and asked for £10 to go on.
Was told they are no longer allowed to do it this way and you must topup online
Now I dont really wish to give them my CC details online as even though its using the monthly bundle if it does go over it can auto renew which mean money gone.
Whats the point of the card anymore? asda cant take asda lol?

Strange - their website still has top up card as an option. It says you can set a spend cap so you just won't be able to use call/text etc once the credit is gone until you top up again. Personally, I see little to no risk in logging your card details online with them (or in the app), but that's your choice of course.1

Asda no longer the burner of choice1 -
spoke to asda mobile on facebook and they said there should be no issue doing instore, even apologised for store collegues.
so went in store dinner time and tried a different cashier, and different topup for DS phone and both couldnt accept. asked the cashier to get the manager and whilst waiting let him read the reply from adsa via facebook. he even tried to do a evoucher but the till wont let you process them. manager said she will talk to head office and has my number to contact.
oddly I went into another asda tonight and the lad put them straight through via paypoint? didnt see that reference before.0 -

Has anyone actually managed to use a topup card or print a voucher recently? I took my neighbour's card to Wilko and Asda, but neither could do it. Asda mobile are still insisting there are no issues. I would have tried the Paypoint if I'd read this first.0

I suspect big govn wants everyone properly registered but are too cowardly to come out and say so... if you dont want to give the phone companies the power to suck money off your debit/credit card then get a prepaid debit card and only top it up when you need to.0
