I have a large flask that holds 1.8 litres of water.

I measured how many mugs of water that is. It's six.

And I only have six to eight coffees anyway (the first two, coffee and the rest Decaf). This means I will only have to boil the kettle once a day instead of six to eight times.

Yes I know I have to fill the kettle, but this still saves more money for people who only boil one cup at a time, because even with the tall, water-saving kettles, the minimum amount of water required to cover the element is still more than two cups of water.

So for every cup we currently make, we are using twice the electricity we need.

With a flask there's no wastage.

So everyone needs to buy flasks!

...Now where can I buy flasks wholesale?!!  :D

I fill a 1.5 litre flask with boiling water and add two teabags then I drink it throughout the day leaving any remaining tea in the flask until the next morning it's lukewarm by then and as it's usually only around one cup of tea I throw out and rinse the flask and cup then boil another lot of water and do the same. it saves me around 4 teabags per day, I've even used one cup teabags and it's no different to using teabags that don't say one cup on the label.
Someone please tell me what money is

I find the problem with big flasks is if you are opening and taking water from them multiple times the water cools quickly and it gets too cold for a decent cup of anything.  I have a metal Tatonka flask and it does keep things hot but it’s a normal medium size, I would use two flasks.

My flask keeps the contents very hot for at least 12 hours, by the following morning it's warm enough to drink but not piping hot like it would be in the first 12 hours. I used to take a flask of tea to home and away football watches and gave one cup on the coach or at half time and another on the way home then have a cup to take my medication when I got home.

I make a flask of tea in the morning but don't open it so it remains hot all day.

I'm amazed at the number of people who drink tea from a flask. IMO it tastes awful.

I actually think it tastes better. I don't like tea from a cup anymore. It's almost like the constant heat makes it more tasty. I will add that I keep the teabag in so it stews over the day. I love mine.
