Virgin Media Denying Access to an Email Account

    It transpires that having given consent for the account to be changed into his ex-spouses name and asking for the email to be transferred to the account which he had opened, Virgin Media had failed him - they did not transfer the email address to the new account at the time of opening, they instead changed the new account holder name first and then could not move the email without consent - consent which the nee account holder has apparently withheld.
    Failed him, or is that the normal sequence of events?  Whilst it would have been better (with hindsight) to transfer his email account to him first, their procedures might not allow that. 

    I can see it from VM's point of view - they're not responsible for sorting out the separation of a separating couple's email accounts.  Your partner either needed to sort out his own email address first, or work with his ex-wife to organise access after the change.
