Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light and dry but air is cooler too. I have a wash load ready to peg out - will do that in a mo.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was egg, bacon, sausage, beans and mushrooms. Tonight I'm not sure but will organise something.
Yesterday work wasn't too bad, I'll be pleased to get this week out of the way to be honest.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning and thanks for starting NMLC.It's the usual good start which will fade away into clouds probably, but not cold.I went to the Metro centre yesterday and bought what I wanted at Lakel*nd, then went to Pri*ark and bought a pretend plant for a dark corner. then straight home. It's unheard of for me to only stay such a short time but I had things I wanted to do here and didn't want the day to slip away while I wandered round shops. I had money off coupons for lake*land which had to be used by yesterday, but i'll probably go back next week. There are some shoes I want to try on in Marks.Visiting a friend today with some shopping, and having a hairdo as well, that's about it for today. I've go some ironing,to do, but I'm tired after a bad night, so I might leave that to mature.Hope everyone has a good day, thinking of our poorly people and those struggling with life.Take care folks.11

Morning
Suns back out after a pretty rainy day yesterday
Very productive admin session and everything sorted and neatly filed and updated. Just one task left to negotiate her phone and broadband clearly she doesn’t use now but I do when I’m round and it will be useful when selling if/when it comes to that so just need to get as cheap as possible.
HRT arrived which was a relief with all the news of shortages so I can breathe for 6 months.
Sausage casserole did have sausage in so all in all a good day!
Today Ill sort a few loose ends from yesterday then start to consider some of the bigger jobs that need tackling. Burger with cheese and bacon tonight
Have a good day all

Morning folks.Scarlet - I hope that you can catch up on your sleep at some point.Yesterday I did a quick washing load and got it out on the line before I left. I can't call it work as it's only a bit more than sitting in front of nervous 16 / 17 year olds as they try to answer the exam papers. It's fascinating to watch them, some write furiously, some read the paper and then look around for a lot of the time. When some had cramp in their fingers and shook their arm it took me right back to my exam days. One poor girl arrived late for paper one and then left paper two after 30 minutes.Even though the morning had showers my washing was dry when I arrived home and the afternoon turned sunny. I burnt some papers in the garden, topped up the potatoes, talked encouraging to the strawberries and admired the clematis. Still no sunflower hearts (or even seeds) to be had yet. I won't buy the mixed bird seeds as a huge amount gets wasted.Today I'm off for a haircut. It's a bit of a long trek down the peninsula but so worth it for a good stylist and should be a lovely drive. A long-awaited new audiobook has been downloaded this morning so I'll put that on in the car.Happy Wednesday to all.12

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Like SCARLET we have a lovely sunny start which will once again come to nothing as light cloud is forecast again for the day.
We had an enjoyable day out yesterday and the early rain stopped as quickly as it started so we had a pleasant wander around. We ended up in Skipton and did our usual wander of the cs before heading off for lunch. This was enjoyed by all 3 of us before putting the world to rights over a bottle of wine. Other than lunch my only purchase was a pair of trainers for a fiver in one of the cs. They look brand new and unworn so chuffed I spotted them tucked away on a low shelf.
So today is a stay home today and some cleaning awaits. But first I must venture out into the garage. A bird has somehow managed to get in there and keeps bashing into the windows trying to get out. I am frightened of opening the door out from the kitchen in case it flies in the house but I have no other way to get out there. I like birds in their place (outside!) but I don't want one flying round the house in a panic. Wish me luck in trying to release it!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones or just fed up. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc
Bright and sunny start here. We had rain from lunchtime yesterday so the washing was swiftly off the line and put upstairs on the airer. I have more washing to do today, deep joy.
DH is off to Wales this afternoon with his mates. They are camping in Pembrokeshire and will go over to Skoma Island one day as well. I have a couple of evenings planned with friends but tonight will be a nice bath, face mask and early night.
DS2, DD and I will have a sausage traybake tonight as I’ve veg that needs using up.
Glad you got most things sorted yesterday Nels, must be a weight off your mind.
Those trainers sound a bargain TA – glad all 3 of you were able to meet up. Eww to the bird though – hope you can release it without too much effort!
Izzy – don’t worry, I didn’t hear you shouting here in Kent!
Have good days everyone, and hugs to the poorlies and worried.

Morning everyone
Just a quickie as I need to pop out for a little shopping
Little one was full of beans yesterday - we went for a walk after tea accompanied by oldest cat! Little one rode her bike and never stopped talking!
Nelski - well done getting all your admin done
Gers - do you get to read the exam paper?
Coxy - enjoy the peace!
TA - well done on the trainers
Scarlet ribbons - I like Primark's range of pretend plants
Better go as I don't want to be in a rush
Hope everyone has a good day. Take care x

Morning all. Sunny! And got a sore arm so no excercising today, I can barely lift it, just feels like you've been punched in the muscles so it isn't too bad. Someone else in the street is having their roof done which means ours is due soon. That's five people this and last year. OH want to board out the attic a bit, I do too but we're still waiting on a mate of his to come and make the hole bigger and put a ladder in. I think it's been eight months now. He's one of those good but busy people. and our job is very small. Have opticians again this afternoon for contact lenses. And I caved and bought washing powder from amazon that'll do over a hundred washed according to them and good reviews. Depending on which oneyuo look at it's a bargain or it's not. For what I usualy buy it's a bargain and the fact is doesn't smell like some hideous approximation of a tropical flower added thumbs up. I absolutely detest the smell of lavender so none of that either. Someone did used to do a lemon one and that was nice. Anyway...So I did go to the kitchen shops yesterday and did buy some stuff but one was a replacement for a failing steamer basket [ I have had it over 20 years and the legs are wobbly and one petal keeps popping out, this new one comes with a proper extending handle, very posh], some string, a metal scraper [ I've been using my fathers old plastic ones for repairing cars in the kitchen] and another grater [ no excuse there, but it does come with a box attached]Scarlet, I did laugh at your ironing being like fine wine...
TA, well done on your bargain! Coxy have you seen those cookery books Ruby used before? Just a book full of different traybakes. Looked interesting. Nany, I pity the fool...Izzy, I am surprised he's still got all his limbs intact!
Nelski, I don't do cuddles, but have a virtual one anyway. snoozer, hope the scan goes well. Look after yourselves today...

Hi folks,
Didn't report in yesterday. Up and out early doors to drive south for the funeral of OH's Aunt, foul weather on the journey, lots of horrible spray, but sunny and dry on return. Arrive home after 5pm so pretty whacked and settled for a tub of Y Provender soup and egg on toast. Slept through the night, but woke 05:30 for a pit stop and thought I might as well get up and set the WM off on off peak rate.
Today is knit and natter, the girls will cheer me up a little - we both have our "emotional moments" now and then.
Have 5th jab to look forward to on Saturday, watch friend having an aero flight on Sunday, then off to Llandudno for 3 nights on Monday.
nmlc thank you for starting us off, hope your day is at least tolerable. Scarlett sorry that you are sleep deprived, it's hard to keep going then. Nelski great work on the admin. Gers happy haircut day, journey sounds lovely, I have a mental picture of some of the places you and Camelot mention. Ruby pleased to read that your DM is feeling a little better. TA great news that your DF was able to make it. Izzy does your OH have a dent on his head from the frying pan?, I consider myself very lucky with mine. Coxy your plans for the weekend sound great. dpi I love the anecdotes about the little one, I often read them out to DH. taff fingers crossed for the hatch access being done soon.
Shopping delivery has arrived, must get it put away and smarten myself up to go out, sun shining, but chilly ATM.
take care all.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)11 -
Hello all, well the sun was out earlier so I thought I'd do some washing but it's now clouded over 🤨 Oh well there's now another load in the wm so that will be done and hung out come what may, it's pretty windy so it'll have a blow at least.
I ticked a lot of little jobs off my list yesterday, put the day bed back up, put away my sleeping bag ( DGS used it on the weekend) then tidied the spare bedroom so it's back to normal. I shall do the dreaded ironing today, I'll be ok when I start and there's not much anyway but I shall probably need a lie down after that 😂
We've heard from the garage and they are still waiting for the new rear bumper, side panel and alloy wheel to turn up then they can make a start on repairs so Mr Fix It isn't a happy bunny.
For tea yesterday I had a large fishcake with a slice of bread and butter but I won't have that fishcake again, they had a sickly creamy filling 🤢 and I'd rather make my own simple ones like Mum always made. Tea tonight will be BBQ spare ribs and oven chips followed by a honeycomb corne*to (Lid*s own make)
taff hope you get your roof and attic done soon.
TA hope you have some joy getting the bird out ! Could you send Sparkle in to round it up like a sheepcat 😁
Gers I have every sympathy with the students, I dreaded exams 😨 Enjoy your new book.
Nels glad you got your HRT sorted.
I shall send the Sandman out to the sleepless, healing vibes to the poorly ones and hugs to all.
Take care everyone
