Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light and dry but air is cooler too. I have a wash load ready to peg out - will do that in a mo.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was LO roast beef braised in gravy, roasties, LO mash, yorkshires, and fresh veg as not enough - all eaten no waste.
Half day at work - have some jobs to do when I get home. I will organise dinner - it will possibly be egg, bacon, sausage, beans.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks, thanks for starting us off nmlc. Not only awake but up and dressed ready to Invigilate this morning, think it's English N5 and Higher. On the way home I'll go to the country shop in the hope of a new delivery of sunflower hearts, the seeds make the garden so messy.Thoughts to our poorlies. Happy Wednesday to all.12

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. After a run of glorious starts we finally have rain this morning. Just light as yet but that may change!
After thinking I had beaten the lack of sleep bug into submission I had a rubbish night last night at both ends, Couldn't get to sleep and then wide awake at the crack of dawn. Grr.
It was lovely to meet my oldest buddy again yesterday and see her looking so well and positive. She is waiting for a start date for her chemo sessions but a lady from the wig department rang her whilst we were out and she now has an appointment with them. She has been told she will definitely lose her hair so she will be prepared for it with a wig at the ready when she goes out.
Today it's bus trip wine 'n' dine day and it's supposed to be all 3 of us today but the pain in the neck OH of one of the ladies has been known to scupper her plans of joining us before now. We will have a committee meeting on where to go when we meet but I think perhaps Skipton is due a visit as not been for a little while. It might be a soggy market if this rain turns heavy.
Have a lovely day if you can folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones or just fed up. RUBY I hope your DM is soon feeling better and the doctor has got to the root of her symptoms. Take care one and all and be safe xx

            Morning all
Feels quite chilly this morning but its due to warm up later, off to work for me and my least favourit day
but the time does park quickly so thats something.
Mum was a bit brighter yesterday we have been making her drink a lot more water which does seem to help she was a lot more with it yesterday, her cleaner and gardener came too so she is all tidy, the gardener is new but he made a great start so he looks promising.
We are having an omlette for dinner tonight with salad and bread and butter (or spread in my case) I did the garlic creamy chicken recipe last night from the Pinch of nom books with roasted veg cous cous it was lovely and so filling and low Calorie.
DW has been emptied this morning and I will see if there is enough washing to put a load on.
Have good days all xxx12 -
            Morning All
Running a bit late this morning, too much time messing about in the loch again. It was beautiful this morning with the sun peeping from behind the clouds. We're due sunshine and showers today so the washing can stay inside.
Have a good day out TA, hope you don't get too wet.
Hoping your DM starts to pick up soon, sounds like the Dr is on the ball.
DD has taken the little one down south to see DD's grandparents for a couple of days, I've to stop at her house on the way home to put the bins out, will put a reminder on my phone.
Have a good day if you can, take care. XX13 -

Morning
Happy hump day
Disaster day here yesterday. A bottle of red wine the delivery man had just brought round rolled off the worktop and caused chaos smashing and creating a right mess in the kitchen. Took me so long to clear up and now every time I go in there I can see another splinter of glass. If I only had some sliced bread to get rid Even worse of course I wasted a lovely bottle. Someone’s just not on my side atm
On the other hand I had my favourite liver bacon and mash for dinner.
Today I’m planning an admin day. I have a pile of stuff that needs filing and some planning for the next month. I do love a fun day! My horrible brain keeps throwing up all kinds of issues instead of sleeping so I’m hoping I’ll shut some of them up with some admin.
Sausage pasta tonight with hopefully some sausage in this portion
Taff remind me I must of missed this what happened to your car that was in the garage for months?
Hope everyone has a good day and hope mum is doing OK Rubes x

Good morning, another fine start here, don't know how it will turn out. There was a chilly wind blowing yesterday. It was an ok day, I did what I'd planned and went to the library as well.Today I thought I'd go to either Newcastle or the Metrocentre, I've got some Lake*and money off vouchers, and want a cuople of things so may as well use the vouchers. There's a shop in both places, I think the Newcastle one is larger, not that it matters. That's it for today.Hoping everyone has a good Wednesday - thinking of our poorly people and those who are sad and struggling with life. Thoughts and good wishes to you all.Take care folks.13

Morning everyone and thanks for the thread nmlc x
Bright start again here so DS2s uniform is in the wash and will be pegged out once done. We have someone coming to measure for new bedroom and stairs carpets, plus flooring for downstairs. Have gone with a big company as local shop (who we’ve used before) couldn’t have been less interested when we approached them. Given it will run to £’000s I wasn’t impressed.
Dinner will be risotto – another new SW recipe.
Boo to the wine mishap Nelski. Hope getting the admin done will be a weight off your mind
Happy bus day TA and hope the PITA DH doesn’t ruin your trip. Your friend sounds very positive going into her treatment.
Taff – is the car at the point of no return? Seems to be taking ages
Have good days all and hugs for those not sleeping well due to worries xx

Morning all. Definitely raining this morning. I set my alarm early this morning but thanks to me not changing the flannelette duvet cover yet I was boiling and woke up before it anyway. Must remember to do that today. Booster this morning, then afterwards I think I may go for a wander around the outlet, there are a couple of kitchen shops and I do like a rummage.Nelski, one thing went wrong with it, then a cascade of problems happened culminating in it now needing the immobiliser disabled because the car keeps cutting out. It's been five and a half months now. What with brexit and covid car parts are hard to get hold of. If I had known this at the start then I would have gone to Wales and borrowed my fathers old car but every week it would be, yes, this week....Stuff is piling up waiting to go to charity shops, the tip, I'm desperate for some compost otherwise the tomatoes will die..Hope doing the admin helps to quiet your brain...Shame about the wine too! Scarlet, enjjoy your day out and you too TA. Ruby, glad she's brighter. Gers, hope you find something to do. Look after yourselves all, have a bit of me time...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11

Hi everyone, I've been up since 6 and have rearranged the living room, taking out a coffee table and lamp that just sat in a corner doing nothing. I've replaced it with Esben's box of toys but it seems much tidier now. I've also given the kitchen a thorough once over, especially by the scales - Esben was "helping" me make fairy cakes yesterday and a quantity of flour was distributed around. I want to make some cinnamon buns today but not with his help! Steve is still suffering, I'm just glad he got the anti-body treatment, otherwise I think he would have ended up in hospital. It meant that yesterday, while Laura and Brian were in London I had Esben till 8.00. Boy was I tired after that, it means I've been going to sleep easily lately but as a result I'm missing out on reading. Laura has a scan this morning so 'll have Esben while they're away for that. otherwise I'll spend the day doing things I want. Nelski, sorry about the wine and I hope you can turn your thoughts to happier things. TA, give my regards to Skipton if that's where you end up. taff. I remember we had a car in a garage for months while they waited for a replacement seatbelt after someone ran into Chris, it was very frustrating so I know how you feel. Have a good day.13

Rain blessed rain in Mehefinland. We needed it as the field was like concrete and poor scoobymare was suffering a bit. This will take some of the 'sting' out.
Over run with wabbits at the moment - may have to resort to a cull if the buzzard and charlie fox don't reduce the numbers. They are so destructive ( the rabbits) and we are worried that Fairy pony who has very small feet might catch a rabbit hole and do some damage to herself.
The two big ash in the field have got the dreaded dieback so will have to be felled as they partially overhang our neighbouring cottage. Its going to be quite an enterprise and expensive to boot, but cheaper than having to fork out for a new roof on the cottage if they were to fall prematurely. You can't get insurance cover for this kind of thing, and as the trees are not at our residence we can't use the house insurance either. At least we wont need to buy firewood for a very long time! 2 days and a lot of machinery apparently.
Thats about it for me . Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin
