British farmers proudly produce our food while lovingly shaping and maintaining our farmed landscape. Show us what the best of British farming means to you in a photo, and you could be in with a chance to win.

Your photo could be of the food on your plate brought to you by British farmers and growers, your favourite walk through our magnificent farmed landscape, or something else close to your heart that showcases the best of British farming.

What we're looking for

• We're looking for photos that are creative or inventive, that tell a story and represent the best of British farming.
• Try to tell us in 30 words or less what the place, people or plate of food in the picture means to you or what emotion it evokes.
• Whether it's crops, animals or the iconic patchwork landscape, make sure you have farmland in your backdrop if you are entering a photo of the British countryside.
• If you are submitting British food, its not all about presentation, we just want to see you making the most of fantastic British ingredients.

How to enter

There are five ways to enter the competition:

		Facebook - Go to our post and add your picture entry in the comments. Remember to tell us why your photo represents the best of British farming.
		Twitter - Head over to our tweet and reply with your photo entry.
		Instagram - Upload your entry as a post and use the hashtag #BestOfBritishFarming in the description. Don't forget to make your profile public so your entry can be counted.
		LinkedIn - Take a look at our post and add your picture entry to the comments.
		Not on social? We've got you covered. Email your entry and caption to backbritishfarming@nfu.org.uk. Put "Best of British Farming Photo Competition" as the subject line.

The winner will be chosen by a panel of 3 NFU communications staff whose decision is final.

The prize is:

1. £1000 voucher towards a farm stay when booked through the website www.cottages.com. The cottages.com offer is valid for 12 months from Friday 17 June 2022. Minimum spend of £1000. Relevant terms and conditions for cottages.com apply.

1. A hamper of British food, up to the value of £100. Products selected from www.britishfinefoods.com in consultation with the winner. The NFU cannot guarantee winner will get all their choices.
