Samsung Pay+...??

I'm here because of that good old phrase - if it sounds too good to be true....! So I'm trying to check whether that's the case here or not.
These days I pretty much use Google Pay. I used Samsung Pay for a good while actually but made the switch.
Anyway, I've just now opened my phone up to delete all the notifications and this one about Samsung Pay+ caught my eye. Mentioning cashback ranging from 1-20% at certain retailers. I wont go in to it too deep because anyone who knows the answer to my question will already know the ins and outs of this.
It mentions the Curve app - I don't have a Curve account/card. Not sure whether I need one or whether I just need to download the app.
Says I have to use Samsung Pay+ ... is that a different app to Samsung Pay or is it just the same as Samsung Pay, except you say ok make it plus?
These kinds of things tend to be where smallprint mentions you have to pay £99.99 per month for the feature, but I can't find anything saying I need to pay. It seems to be free (like I said - sounds too good to be true).
I recently switched out Amex for Chase for the better spending cashback. If I can beat that then great. I just want to check I don't shoot myself in the foot on this one.
So over to whichever of you knows the details on this one...

I don't use SamsungPay or SamsungPay+ but I think all your questions are answered on https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/samsung-pay-plus-faqs/.
AFAICS, SamsungPay+ is some sort of a JV between Samsung and Curve, as you can't have SamsungPay+ if you are already a Curve customer. All the cashback offerings are managed by Curve, and you can have them in the Curve app, which doesn't pre-req SamsungPay or anything else. I have had these cashback offers for several months, never could make use of any of them (YMMV). They look much like the Barclays, Lloyds, Natwest cashback offers to me.0 -
Pay plus is pretty much the Samsung offering of Curve
I have one but could just as easily have had a Curve card
I use it to link my Chase debit card to Samsung Pay so I can use it there0 -
Thanks for the link. I went and set it up. What an almighty faff. God knows how many failed attempts to set it up. Eventually got it working (I think) only to find out that the offers are no good to me at all.So that was a waste of 20mins.0
