You can also think about a temporary lease/license, so you can undo this swap later at no great cost. You might be happy to get an easy life right now, but unhappy if it reduces your property value when you want to sell.

It doesn’t read like a change you can bring about with a boundary agreement or similar. It reads as if you are exchanging land so have a read of our PG 21 section 3 for what’s needed from purely a registration perspective

As another poster mentioned if there are mortgages in play you’ll need their approval and a discharge re the land being exchanged as appropriate. Lenders invariably insist you use conveyancers as well“Official Company Representative
