Is it wise to send a high value bicycle via eBay

I want to sell my high-value road bike on eBay, but I am a bit worried about the possibility of a buyer paying through ebay, then stating 'item not received'
I remember a couple of years ago, there were warning about selling high-value items, such as laptops etc with ebay & PayPal in case of possible scams. Asking for cash on collection was not allowed and in fact was actively forbidden I think.
How should I see the bike, regarding payment options
thank you

List it 'collection only' and make sure you scan the barcode the buyer will have been given when they collect it.3

Also if they turn up without bar code refuse to hand it over. You shouldn't be penalised for that as you are complying with ebay's terms.
May you find your sister soon Helli.

your bigger issue is courier/packaging/insurance.
As said I would stick with collection if possible1
