Barclaycard

Hi,
Today I received two letters from Barclaycard offering me a small refund on two of the cards I used to have. I had four cards with BC as two cards I had with other providers converted to Barclaycard.
So these letters just relate to 2 of the four.
One is offering me a refund of £128.22 which includes £75 for "inconvenience"
The second is offering me £10.57
Even though this relates to a Debt Management Plan period - with StepChange - I entered into in 2014 I still have quite a few of my original statements from that period.
I have gone back to these and for the account where I have been offered a £10.57 refund I have identified that they charged me over £1,000 in interest over 24 months.
This was because despite other card providers freezing interest when we entered the DMP Barclaycard continued to add it on. My DMP was for 4 years but I can only locate 24 statements. I haven't been able to find any of the other statements for the account where they are offering me £128.22 refund.
The letter says "we are giving you a refund of some interest, default fees and charges on your account ....we wouldn't normally charge these"
Its inviting me to go onto a website link and enter my details to claim the refund.
I am appealing to others who have received these letters / and / or know about these things.
Is it worth me asking them how they have calculated their refund sum? Is there any point in me going back to them and telling them they charged me a minimum of £1000 just over one card over this time of vulnerability or will they already know all this and still have calculated that a £10.57 refund on that account is reasonable?
I remember phoning them a lot over the time of my DMP explaining it felt like I was never going to get these accounts paid because for every £1 I was paying there was about another 40p added in interest. They never stopped the interest. Luckily after a few years I eventually began earning more money and was able to clear the balances - I vowed never to use Barclaycard ever again.

They already know the interest they charged you. It won't be of any interest to them. The refund is of fees and interest that shouldn't have been charged, not those that should.
You can ask for the detail of the refund if you really need to know. It won't change the sum you've been offered. But the main thing is to claim your refund.1 -
Thanks zx81 (I have one of them too - my very first computer!)
Yeah, I just thought I would ask. It just seems like- why bother? especially the £10 one! Its just me wanting to understand their methodology.

If they are firm on the refund amount and you find your at a dead end ..why not work on increasing the £75 ?
With these type of things I wouldnt always listen to MSE posters when you have nothing to lose .1 -
Thank you Farfetch & Top_Cat0
