    Looks like a nice job and can see why you were thinking along lines of sealing the wall,

    The flower bed should not be too hard to sort by removing some soil.When doing your weeding and hoeing bring soil away from wall and from front away from pavement slabs creating a sort of ridge along middle of bed will help.

    I had thought doing it yourself would be easy but as others have said getting company back might cover you better, just instruct them to take care not to damage edges of slabs.

    Maybe you can give us some advice on how to get your grass so green looking.

    If you decide to paint the inside of the garage I'd go with a breathable paint. A hint of damp in a single skin brick wall and vinyl-based interior emulsion will peel off in sheets (thanks very much, previous resident of our house!).
